Recover access to your data
Cleared your browser, switched devices, or in incognito? You're not locked out — here are 3 ways to get back to your names, voices, and stories.
✦ Best: log in with your email
If you signed up for an account, everything you created is tied to your account. Just log in from any browser and your data appears.
Sign in with email or Google →2 · Restore from your other browser
If you used Fablely from a phone or another computer earlier, open Fablely there — your anonymous session is still active on that device. Then either sign up (which links everything to your account) or copy your session ID and tell us.
Find your anonymous session ID: open browser console (Cmd+Opt+J / Ctrl+Shift+J) and paste:
You'll get a UUID like a248f42a-b752-411c-b1b5-b1a6ba54a6e7.
Email it to us and we'll link your data to a new session.
3 · Ask us by email
If neither option works, email us. We'll need a few details to verify you're really the person who generated this data (we treat voice and family data very seriously and won't release it to anyone who can't verify).
Open prefilled email →How long this takes
- Email login (option 1): immediate.
- Session ID copy (option 2): immediate once we get the email.
- Manual recovery (option 3): 48 hours typical, 7 days maximum including verification back-and-forth.
Why we can't just “reset by email” automatically
Your data includes voice biometric content under strict privacy laws (BIPA, CCPA, GDPR). We're legally required to verify identity before releasing biometric data to a new device or session. A bad actor could otherwise just email us with someone else's name and claim "that's me."
In practice, verification is gentle: a few questions about what you created and when. We're not asking for ID documents.
Or — start fresh
If you can't recover and don't mind starting over, that's totally fine too. Fablely was designed to be useful in a single session. Most parents find their favorite name in the first 5 minutes. Generate new names →
