Why is naming free if voice features are paid?
Naming is the entry point — the moment we want to be useful to every family, free or not. Voice generation has real per-story compute cost (AI text + neural TTS), so we charge for sustained use. The economics work because once you've made 30+ stories in your voice, you don't want to switch.
What happens to my voice + stories if I cancel?
You can export every story as MP3 anytime, including after cancellation. After 90 days from cancellation, we delete your voice clone from our provider. Your downloaded files are yours forever.
What does "50% off for life" mean exactly?
The first 200 parents who upgrade during early access lock in 50% off the standard price for as long as they stay subscribed. If you ever cancel and rejoin, you'll be on standard pricing. Honor system — we won't trick you out of it.
Is the voice cloning real-time or do you save a recording?
The 30-second sample you record creates a permanent voice model on our TTS provider. Each story is then synthesized fresh from text — so the audio is generated, not stitched from your original recording. This is why it can say your baby's name, even names you never spoke into the microphone.
Can I share my account with my partner?
Yes — Voice Vault and Eternal Companion include partner-shared libraries. You both record your own voices (or your parents'), and both have access to the full story archive. One paid plan covers the whole family.
What if I want to gift this to my partner / a friend?

How is this different from Voice Memos or a podcast?
Voice Memos just records you. Fablely clones your voice so it can say things you never said — like your baby's specific name in any story, voice messages scheduled for the future, or (eventually) conversations. It's a permanent voice model, not a tape.
Is my voice data safe?
Your voice clone is stored on our TTS provider's infrastructure (ElevenLabs), encrypted in transit and at rest. It's used only for your own stories. Every generated audio is watermarked. You can delete your clone in one click — that revokes the model immediately. We never sell or share voice data with third parties.
